Great expression of a beautiful face - almost whimsical and coy!

Great portrait in that it reveals personality in the expression, especially in the eyes. Good exposure and proper focus so as to produce that appealing demure look of a pretty girl with a fine complexion.

Not a fan of the eyes being that far to her right. I would prefer to see some white around her iris.

Would be a super poster to have hanging on the wall in a very large size!! Very relaxing and pleasant to look at!!

I just read some of the earlier posts. Not that this young lady has one, but if a person has a lazy eye there are ways to pose them so it's not noticeable. My wife has a lazy eye and I just need to be aware of that when I take her picture.

The girl is very pretty and over all it is a nice photo. I think the color behind her left ear is distracting and I would like her eyes to be a little left to show the whites of her eyes. Very nice.

Definitely has beautiful facial features. Just be careful when having her turn her head so far. It can make her neck look far shorter than it is.

Fantastic! Don't think I don't know a pretty face and a great photo just because I'm crazy.
I am dead serious here. None of this was accidental. I chose the background, the pose and how I faced her. I told her where to look. The tricky part was the lighting because the sun was pretty harsh and I found a spot that had the right amount of shading I wanted. No fill flash or reflectors, no soft lights. All natural. I was sweating bullets because I did not know how long she would put up with me. Most of my shots were crap.

My only nit pick, and I would never have said anything but... you said you carefully chose the background? the two people standing in the back are distracting to the composition of the shot. I like the overall feeling of the shot, just not the background. I like her eyes, maybe an idea for your next session, using just her eyes to tell the story.

I like the picture she makes a pretty model - the crop isolates her face and stands on her beauty alone. As for the crop being so tight, did people miss that it was a humid 100 degree day? I figured she was cropped partially so all the sweat didn't show.
I am glad you caught that one! Yep, she was one wet noodle. Lol.

There is always going to be disagreement about cutting off the top of someone's head. I like it, others do not.

In my opinion, if you are going crop off the top and bottom, you should fill the shot with her face.

I'd also like to see more light in her face.
Interesting. I read some where that just like a bird in flight, that you should leave just a little more open in the direction that the person is looking or going. As for the lighting, I thought I was spot on. Perhaps I wasn't. This is exactly why I asked for comments. In other words, Thanks very much for your input.

I think you are absolutely correct. I over did the turn. It is obvious in the original.

How on earth did you notice that? Lol. She was over 20 ft. away from the nearest background feature and with the blur of the background, I really did not think It mattered.

I think you are right. I think I had her look just a little to far to her right. And no, she doesn't have anything wrong with her eyes. I just mad the turn a hair too tight. Thanks for your input.
