They're starting to turn in north central New Mexico, too - Jemez Mts and possibly the Sangre de Christos (I haven't really looked east to see the color there.) And, of course, we had rain last night and early in the am. If it was light, the color might last, but if it was heavy or steady, the leaves will be stripped pretty soon. Autumn is my favorite time of the year.

We have had wind and of course, many of the leaves have been blown off. I'm going to Ridgeway this next weekend for a workshop. Hope we have something left - however they turn later over there. We'll see.

Hmmm?

Looks like Marcelina Mountain and Kebler Pass. I see the mountain from our yard.

It could be - I never have gotten all the names of the mountains correct. Someday maybe. Not Kebler. We didn't go up there, not sure what the leaf situation would be. Actually I went back and looked at the image. That's Gothic, taken from the south on the road. Thanks for visiting.

Beautiful shots! Aspen in Fall are very special. Here in southeast Idao it isn't quite time. But a recent cold snap should make next week the start of something wonderful.

Thank you. We are getting quite a bit of wind and many of the leaves are getting blown off. It's still beautiful though.

Thanks Carol. The aspens are changing all over the state now. I have a workshop this weekend in the most SW part of the state. Dan Ballard is an excellent leader and instructor. Always learn something from him. Hope to have some good images.
Hope you are recovering from Irma.

The aspens are definitely turning gold here in Colorado. The peak is not quite here, but it won't be long.

Hi Rowedean,

Beautiful, especially number 2!
