I purchased the used 5D III on the sale/trade section. Seller sent me the paperwork from Canon as it was just in for the 18 point inspection and of course it verified the shutter count at 6200 which is nothing.
I feel good at the $1675 with all the verification.
Been wanting a dual slot camera for some time so I'm pretty stoked ... no have (2) full frame bodies
Excellent purchase for you! 6200 is nothing and it is a GREAT camera and price. If I weren't already camera full, I might have gone after it so I could use it with my 5DIII and shoot stereo!
The reassurance that the second card slot provides when used as backup is priceless. I recall BK agonizing over the loss of a card full of wedding shots last spring when he forgot to put the second slot to backup after a fast paced event shoot.
Thankfully, he was able to recover them.

The big day .... my new camera arrives :)
BTW, I joined the gold club with Canon. For a $100 a year you get 5 cameras/lenses you can have checked by Canon which includes and 18 point inspection, cleaning, updating software and calibration. If anything needs fixing beyond that they give you a discount on repairs. Canon ships it back to you at no charge. THat is well work $100 ;)
You should definitely take advantage of the evaluation loan program. If possible, try to coincide with a big wedding. A specialty shot with gear that can't rationally be purchased... you never know!

Wow, great shot! Now, try and catch him in flight. I once spoke with a photog at an art show selling prints of hummers in flight. He told me that it took him 15,000 shots to get one with the wings spread and frozen motion. The man had the patience of Job.

You mean like this .....
Top 2 taken with a 6D and a 70-200 lens
Bottom one taken with a Canon 70D and a 18-1135 kit lens

I still can work myself into a stomach ache if I dwell too much on that card. It was an actual Scandisk, and it fell apart INSIDE the camera slot. I fished out the pieces, and ultimately, was able to recover the files.
One of the first things I check now, is that I haven't accidently bumped the setting back to overflow. (which I will probably have to do for the Marathon next month)
Love the Hummingbird shots. I didn't do any this year at all. After the flood, one of my Rose of Sharon bushes died, and that's the one that was always full of the little buggers.

Must be an "Indiana-ism" I call anything little "buggers" Including little kids.
Some days, just sitting by the Rose of Sharon, trying to catch them in flight makes the time just slip away...whether I catch any or not. Kind of like fishing.

Hummmm .... never liked going fishing, but 'going catching' was fun
