Be Safe. Turn Off Bluetooth
I leave wifi off, as well. That more to save the battery than anything else. I only turn it on when I need to use it.

I use mine only in the car.
Be afraid, be very afraid. The Bluetooth Bogeyman is out to get you.
BT signals are very week and slow. The person needs to be close to you and remain there for quite a while to conduct an attack. I can see somebody on a plane doing that, but then again, I place my device in airplane mode. Even though I have a smartwatch, I'm not going to get any notifications while in the air and it save battery power to be in full airplane mode. Restaurants, maybe. So stick with fast food. If you go to a fancy restaurant and you notice somebody using a laptop constanly; either the food is bad, so you should leave or he's hacking your phone to get all your secrets.
Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they ARE out to get you.
Leaving blue-tooth off unless you need to connect is a no-brainer. Unfortunately some have no brains.

Since you have no idea what Bluetooth is all about, I don't even understand why you even comment on it.
How do I know you're clueless about Bluetooth? Easy; you can't even spell it correctly.

Whoa there little hot head. Take a long, deep breath and settle down.
Next question. Do you know the origin of the name? And why it is used?

I just don't understand how you can make sweeping statements on something about which you know nothing. The mind boggles.

I do, but since you know so much, it's your job to tell us.

Well, of course, YOU would know; you're one of the smarter ones at this site. But d3200prime hasn't a clue about the origins of the term Bluetooth. I could tell him about the 10th century Danish king, but why deprive him of the joys of discovering new things?
Hmm, on further reflection I see your point. It's very possible that d3200prime does not know how to use Bing or Google and will therefore remain clueless. Bah, it's a chance we'll just have to take.

You are making specific, insulting claims about me. For you to make the statement I know nothing about Bluetooth because I misspelled it is ludicrous at best. If you leave it on all the time that is your choice. I don't and that is my choice. It drains my battery and leaves my phone open to attack so this should be a no-brainer. All your overreaction has me suspicious you are not mentally stable. Are you off your medication?
There you go, your post looks a lot more believable now. I'm sure you'll never mangle the name again.
If you have no need for Bluetooth, there is no reason to have it on. But if you use it for its intended purpose (namely PAN,) why would I want to turn it off?

Your pitiful rant trying to stir up support for your attack against me furthers my suspicion about your state of mind. Really, why don't you just calm down and stop this fruitless, mean endeavor. I'd like to be your friend on UHH. No one else reacted to my joking post with the madness you displayed in your posts. BTW: I really don't think n3eg was agreeing with you.

Yes, I agree if you are in a piconet environment it is very necessary to leave Bluetooth on. That is a needful situation but to leave blue-tooth on wherever you go is just asking for trouble. I believe we can both agree on that. BTW: I misspelled Bluetooth to get Pegasus riled up again. Good shooting to you.
