Wonderful photography! Are those gimbal head stations, and were they a part of the boat?
Thank you, sir. I should have taken some more detailed photos of the camera mounts. I'll ask Plessner and Durango if they got any shots of them. Yes, they are a very nice gimbal mount that attaches to an arca-swiss plate on the lens. (They provided the plates too for those who didn't have them.) But the gimbal is mounted on a double jointed arm that gives you almost total flexibility for following animals. In turn, the double link arm swivels on a post that is attached to your swiveling seat. At that point you can loosen a knob and raise it up and down to suit your height and your target. I did often take it off and handheld for birds in flight.
If you google Pangolin Photo Safaris, Kasane, Botswana I think you will find some pictures and videos of the mounts. I know they have some YouTube videos also. I'll do some checking later to see if I can find you some links.
Gotta run....Vietnam is about to start on PBS.

Here's a video of the houseboat and photo boat. At the 2:24 mark is a quick view of the camera mount.

Greg, the video link wasn't attached.
Those are excellent photos you posted, and I truly enjoyed your narrative report. That photo boat is really a very well designed set up for photographing along the river.

Sorry. I actually found an even better info page:
http://www.pangolinphoto.com/about-us/photo-boatThere is an excellent video on that page all about the camera mounts.
The guy narrating it is "Guts", one of the owners of the company. He's also their guiding light in terms of their philosophy of teaching their clients about the wildlife and better ways to photograph it.
Before the trip I honestly didn't think any "photo instruction" would be much benefit. After all, I am a fairly experienced photographer, right? Wrong!! They are excellent teachers (you have to be patient to teach us old dogs new tricks). I feel they took my wildlife photography to a whole new level. (Don't ask my wife tho, as she may not agree, lol.)
