I am interested in the SoloShot camera system for automatic tracking of subjects wearing a tag. For the past several months, they are listed as "preorder". Has anyone received and used one? Thank you!
If it is listed 'pre-order' it means the product is not out yet.

what is a "tag" ?
The tag is a small device that is placed on the subject - it wirelessly communicates with the camera (well, with the motor in the camera base) so that the camera maintains the ability to point at the subject while it moves. The theory is you could put the camera on a tripod on the sidewalk, for instance, and the tag in your pocket, and then roll past the camera on your skateboard while the camera records the video of you, automatically panning to keep you in the frame.
I Developed this in Tawain in 1991 ..., I did product concept and development at my Lab and art center in Taipei ...I was contracted by an American company to sit down in a bare room with a pad and pencil .., and create a marketable .. patentable product from thin air ...after an hour ..., I created a battery operated motor head that goes on your tripod between the camera and tripod ..., the subject has an infrared transmitter sensor ...the person / subject you want to keep the the camera on while the subject moves will always be in the shot .., was intended for video..
I was paid and went on my way ... I have been a product creator and designer for 30 years ...I designed the first face/front cover for the first pocket computer sold exclusively by Sharper Image in SF ..1984/5 Called T R X 3000 .. I designed their very first sharper image watches ..I designed and patented the plasma ball ( the one you touch and red lightening bolts go to your fingers) wow that was 1986 ... wow .. and so many other products ...
There I go blowing my horn ... sorry ...
