I installed the VLC media player, but did not notice that all my pictures are now associated with it. So all I see are boxes with mountains in it. Has anyone had this problem and if you can how did you fix it so when you open a folder with photos in it you see the photo. I need help here if anyone one can help. Thanks in Advance Hal
Do a Google search for:
file association
Assigning applications to files.

If you're runnning Windows... right-click on your photo, select "open with" and choose the program you want to open it with. If that program is not listed, go down to the bottom option that allows you to choose the software and instead, select it and then your program of choice. If you want to use the selected program, click on 'always use this' option. After doing this, you will then see the icons change and when you click on a photo (or video), the software of your choice will always be introduced.
OR
Right click on a photo file, drop down to properties, open properties, it will give you a menu of photo programs you have installed, put the curser over the program of your choice, and left click, all (more or less) will change to your choice of program, I use VLC all the time, a problem to find another program that shows/plays most graphic files

I use VLC for several things. There's a place to go in Windows to set your photos and other things to go with what ever program you wish. Get into your control panel and look at photos - it should be there.
