Bought MD to Nikon 1 adapter: Now MD Minolta 50mm f1.7 is focus-locked!

Bought adapter ob eBay from China. Now my good lens is locked..Can not move the focus.

Is there a solution for this?

Little pins dropping in strange holes! Have not adapted other makers lenses on adapters to wrong bodies for years. Creates huge PITA. Something in the mount needs to be drilled out. Have lostt good lenses thus.

I tried to buy lighter fluid in a "Smoke Shop." The guy had no idea what I was talking about! Amazon to the rescue!

I have the same Minolta 50mm f1.7 MD lens that I adapted to be used on my Olymous Micro 4/3 camera. It works fine. One thing I need to remind you, on this lens, the rear glass element will move in & out when focusing, for your case, I believe the rear glass housing got stuck with some part in your Nikon-1 adapter. You can try to remove the adapter from the lens and check the lens to see if the focus ring be free again. Good Luck!
