I usually ask for the person who's name they use or the name that shows up on the collar ID. I then insist on speaking to that love of my life. I also tell the guy on the other end of the line how great she was in bed. I tell them that I also got a social disease from her. They either hang up rite away or if they are really stupid they will insist that this person isn't available. Hey I am retired so time is on my favor.

This may be a first: as I bang on my keyboard, there have been 3018 views of this topic, with 62 posts. What is amazing is that they have all been in a positive vein, I don't recall a single negative diatribe between any of us. Congrats for finally achieving unity around a topic!!!

That was once my middle name DaveO, but I'm just too old to
be careful anymore.

I have the CPR 5000 call blocker. Works great. I've had it for six months and have blocked 268 numbers so far and add 2 or 3 a week.

BboH said it all. That what I do. Forget about buying something that cost $100.00 or more. Beside in six mouths It will be useless.

Highly recommend nomorerobo. Installed it Tuesday night and the usual robo calls ring once, and they are gone!

Based on the reponses here, I was in the process off obtaining the services of Nomorerobo and I made a discovery.

My landline phone service is through Spectrum which now incorporates Time Warner and Brighthouse. I going through some of the information regarding services provided by Spectrum, I find that they will block un-identified callers, either all or selected numbers. To access the complete rejection. dial *77. to cancel dial *87.

When blocked, the caller receives a message stating that the number called does not receive calls from phones without ID and to unblock their Caller ID and try again.

Minutes before, I received another of the calls for the wonderful folks wanting me to stay at their fine motel - didn't answer, but I recognized the number - didn't answer.

Can't wait for the next robo call!

Good information - thanks. Been using nomorerobo on Spectrum VOIP service for a couple of days now, and it is quite effective!
