Bailey my tripple dapple short legged long haired mini is the 12 year old and he is beggining to act like he is getting older.
The newest is about a 5 pounder and she is 4 and keeps the rest in towe.

OK, you have me intrigued. What is the difference between the $749 XPLOR600 for Nikon and the $599 XPLOR for Nikon? Looked through the descriptions and I'm not seeing the difference?
IF it's iTTL on one and not the other, I can live without it. This old dog just can't get into TTL flash.
By the way, that extension is C O O L

You got it.
One is TTL, the other Manual.
I tried TTL on a group shot with my speedlights for the first time the other day.
Embarased to say it actually worked well.

I have experimented with it a few times. (only once when it counted at a wedding) Always takes a lot more PP for me. Either I don't understand it, or if I just don't "like" the results, but it has never made me as happy as good old manual with a meter. Maybe it's as mental as anything, but....... I may take a leap and get an XPLOR, but will save the money on TTL. Probably hurt resale, but I never get rid of anything anyway.

When I am considering buying an item I read the customer reviews and then also do a Google search for reviews, problems, and issues. I read the reviews on the Adorama page for the Orlit and ruled out for the consistent complaints.

The Adorama XPLOR (Godox AD600) have been around awhile and have generally good reviews. Not many problems reported I recall, myself included. The batteries seem to hold up well and the charger is good. The AC adapter is an option for studio work, and the remote head another nice option. Hard to find something to fault, other than they are not cheap!

I've decided that for portable strobe, battery powered all in one, with HSS/TTL, the Jambei 610 is THE one. Very cutting edge, so is their latest Bluetooth transceiver. Any thoughts?
