Catgirl, you always get the coolest photos of things from the distant past. I love that. It brings me to a different place and time..The vantage point in #6 is fabulous. The birch trees photo looks like a painting and the antique wheel chair gives me the creeps because I watch too many horror movies that have those kinds of scary wheel chairs in them Yikes!

lol at the last remark - you are funny

wood carvings in flordia

Really stunning carvings. Great shots. My carvings aren't quite so intricate.

I even like the bears with hats :D

ok, but they're not wooden, and only one of them could be considered decorative.

I know they weren't wooden - lol - but still cute! :-)

The wood was the first photo - you are on the right day but I told ya I would take that shot for you to see how worn out that darn shovel was. So I did and posted it on wood... :P

Decorative wood... I thought of course I have tons of barns and fences and old trees and poles but was worried that I did not have "decorative" wood,, UNTIL I started shooting and even then, my brain kept pulling other pictures already taken to the front.... so here goes..Not too many I hope

I want that house in Olivos and the hotel in Eureka! Those are right up my alley. I'd love to know who originally owned that hotel. I wonder if it was some gold tycoon. I'd love to see the inside of that. What detail!

We thought briefly of trying to buy the old house in Los Olivos when my Aunt was living there in town, but the owner was in another state and no one else knew anything about it... it is soo sad sitting there...would have been a great B& B.. Here's the Eureka house in color - was a gray foggy day when we were there.. its fascinating.
