Let us continue the journey up and over Beartooth Pass. There were so many incredible sights on this drive that I don't have enough words to describe it. I have agonized over the selection of images for this one because it got rather dark with all the clouds so there wasn't the same bright contrast. That being said I will let the images do the talking.
This is the Beartooth for which the pass is named. It is so far away I took this one with my 150-600mm lens all the way out at 600 mm.

This one was still with the 150-600 but at 256mm. It gives an idea how far away the Beartooth is.

It felt like being at the top of the world and the clouds were incredible.

This little lake might possibly have been my favorite spot on the entire drive. I loved the reflections in it.

Really nice. It is amazing how different the light is when you are that high up!

Indeed a beautiful place! That little lake is so picturesque. It is really pretty at sunset.
A few years ago I tried to drive Beartooth Pass in late June only problem it still was closed 17 ft of snow.
Excellent set, Andrea (as always). Thanks for sharing.

Thank you G Rissler for your comments. It really is a beautiful area that I had never seen before. The farthest north I had ever been in Wyoming previously was Casper and that was for work.
Well done series, Andrea.

Thank you Steve. Yes the light is very different and with the clouds gathering it was extremely variable making it harder to work out the exposures.

Thank you Doug for your comments. I really loved that little lake and I could have sat there for hours if it hadn't started to sprinkle a bit.

Thank you for the comments. In years when there is a lot of snow that is the risk you run. I am sorry you did not get to drive it because it is so worth it.
