Used it years ago as a default image viewer on our network, shame it does not have a Mac version.

I read the same article recently, Irfanview is an excellent viewer I have used it for years now.

Irfanview is not only a fantastic, fast viewer, but it easily converts graphics to different formats. It has been on my computers since my IBM PCJr.

Been using Irfan for many years on 3 different computers. It is one of the best free software programs available for photographers. Highly recommended.

Irfanview is a quick and handy viewer. Like others, I've used it for years. I especially like the fact that its EXIF viewer shows Total Pictures taken with the camera.
I also second the suggestion to get the plug-ins.
