It was the fastest 2 minutes and 40 seconds, ever. Totality hit, and we took off the filters to get photos, and at the same time, everyone is whooping, hollering, and clapping. I looked up, and was absolutely amazed at the brilliant white light that the corona gave off. Trying to take photos from my camera and the drone kept me busy. It wasn't until after it got brighter that I heard all the crickets chirping loudly. Just an amazing experience, and well worth seeing.

Beautiful and excellent personal capture. I saw that same image you took on CNN News yesterday. They had news reporters in several US cities capturing the moment. There were parties, yells, and whistles from the eager crowds. One couple even got married outside during the event. Yes, the Universe does crazy things that we just love witnessing.
