Looking for a cover that can be left on during use. Looking at the EasyCover or something similar.
I bought, use and love one of the silicon covers through Amazon. I do a good bit of down in the dirt photography and it provides good protection from grit and scratches or even the stray rain or sweat drop. I remove it from time to time, but I don't find a lot of dust collected like you see on cellphone covers.
Any particular reason? I used to have a leather cover on my film cameras but have given it up. The 7200, for one thing is weather resistant. It also has a magnesium body. The areas that are covered by the EZ protector are really protected by the camera. The controls, however, are somewhat vulnerable, as they are with the cover. If you're really shooting out in the elements I'd protect my equipment, incl. lenses, with something more.
Main reason is just for some extra protection against accidental bumps etc. not for protection from the elements.

rbk...Your camera is really made pretty tough. I wouldn't worry about a slight cosmetic ding. If you have State Farm Insurance, by any chance, be sure to get a separate rider to your homeowners to cover your camera equipment. It covers everything and there's not a deductible.
