Looked out my patio window and there it was on my fence. I generally shoot in manual mode but had no time to set up. Put it in P mode & image was only fair.
Think it is hawk.

With that flat head, I would guess Cooper's Hawk.

Red Shoulder Hawk would be my guess. A Hawk for sure.

It is a Hawk (not sure of the variety). They fly in mated pairs to bring food to their hatch-lings for which they are vicious guardians.
