I never understand why people think you have to buy new or its going to fall apart. If the manufacturer who makes the product claims it is as good as new and gives you a warranty on it then why would I worry? And to have them discount it, well then where do I sign up?

Everything I own is used - my cars, my cameras, my tools. Even the thing I bought new are now used. I have gotten most of my photo equipment either used or refurbished. Someday I'll have to add up what I've saved. Maybe tomorrow.

If the used 7D is legit and I suspicion it may not be a valid offer, it is a great buy. As olcoach said you might want to spend some time and plug the seller in the Reseller ratings @ http://www.resellerratings.com/.

If your purchase is truly new, then a full warranty from Canon should apply.

Canon refurbished equipment comes with a 90 day Canon warranty. This should be enough time to determine if there's sometrhing wrong with the camera since it gets the full work-up by the Canon technicians as opposed to the spot checks performed on the new units chosen at random off the production line.

I purchased my 7D from bexel it was one of several cameras used to shoot a movie. Was gone over by canon and still had a 1 yr warrenty. Was about $350.00 less than a new one at the time. I've had it over a year and never had a problem with it.

Looking to purchase a Canon Factory Refurbished 7D from a local Authorized Canon Dealer. $350 under new. 90 day warranty. Never purchased refurbished before, so wondering if this is a good choice.

Something is not adding up for me. $350 for a refurbished 7D that is a very low price. In fact, so low I would buy it, sell it for 1100 and then go out and buy I new T4i.

$350 under cost...

So what is the price?

Well understand this was about 15 months ago. I paid $1275.00 with the 1 yr warrenty. At the time new they were about $1,600.00 + trust me I looked around. I have been very happy with my 7D and can't wait for the new firm ware update scheduled for August.
