Imagine that! A company trying to get rich by charging high medical prices! My insurance plan is tied to CVS, but the co-pay is reasonable.

Mine is tied to CVS and I have no co-pays. Everything is paid by the insurance... oh and one of my insurers is Silverscript which is owned by CVS...

To profit on the sick and weak be it doctors or drug companies is the lowest form of life. The first thing they worry about is how it will be paid for, not the patient. This has not changed with president care as the politicians only make it worse while they don't have to follow the same rules they make themselves exempt and make us pay for them too.

Time to wake up we aren't in Kansas anymore...

Maybe this explains why my insurance dropped CVS a few months back.

Doctors do the same thing. It's par for the course in the medical field. There's NO competition. Frankly, I don't trust the bastards. But what choice do I have??

Just another example of what's been going on in this country with its health care. Health care here is a business first, before we even get to consider it a human right. And, as a business first, it is full of greed, extortion, deception, and indifference to human wellness. CVS is just another player in this.

I retired this May, and because I retired early, I now have to pay out of pocket for Rxs. It's been an eye opener as to how much cheaper it is paying cash.
Before, I had to meet a yearly deductible, and I would pay $300-400 for 3 month supply of just one Rx. Now I pay $168 for the same drug for the 3 month supply.

Went into Walgreens the other day and priced their test strips for checking blood sugar! Their price $145 for 100 Amazon same product $20 for 100.
CVS advertises buy 1 get 1 free on vitamins but when you compare prices on Amazon its a lot cheaper then getting one free with a purchase of 1.
BEWARE!!!

As a member of our benefits committee before retiring a few years ago, we did a study on pharmacy prices on selected items. If I remember the list correctly, CVS was second highest, Walgreen's was first. Cheapest was Costco and one other that I cannot recall. Do not think it was Walmart though.
