Back in the 90's we visited the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and crossed the old Navajo bridge over the Colorado river to get there. The new Navajo bridge was under construction at the time. We learned that new bridge was to replicate as near as possible the original. In 2002 we returned to the area to observe the new structure completed. Iron workers on the job were of the Navajo Nation, thus the bridges name.
New bridge on the left. Besides being wider and a few detail differences it's pretty close.

What a job that must have been. The First Nations People were here on the Québec Bridge.

That is an interesting comparison and view of these two bridges.

Thank you, phile......you are truly bridged out there aren't you? We have many around here but I'm busy with summer
Photophile, your bridge challenge has been truly unabridged. I've enjoyed each post immensely more than once looking for details as well as photo composition.
My last two, I promise.
Bridge over the Yellowstone river just above the lower Yellowstone falls. Had to take it to get to this viewing spot.

New to UH... Hello! Will be engaging in the near future but noticed the bridge challenge! I'm from the SF Bay Area - photographer's heaven for bridges! Thought I'd share a few from my point of view... Golden Gate and Oakland Bay bridge. Hope it doesn't seem like overkill-they are great to photograph. I'm enjoying some of the galleries.
