Well you certainly have some heavily defined clouds there, no doubt as to their "intention".
But.....monsoon? Uh, do you actually have "weather" there, other than searing sun and heat?
We don't have weather like that here, the rain record for this month.... so far... is 0.00 with
no promises on the horizon.

Sue, not only ominous looking, there was a bit of damage to parts of the west valley in the Phoenix area. Parts of the valley did get quite a bit or rain. Thanks for looking.

Hi, Jenny. They lived up to the threat, at least in parts of the Phoenix area. Yup, monsoon. The summer time weather pattern changes the wind flow pattern in the area. As such, by definition, it's a monsoon. That change brings about these types of storms. These happen seasonally, around mid-July through the end of September, or so. Great opportunity to photograph clouds like these. The weather pattern usually brings these in mid to late afternoon. So, right after work it's head away from town and photograph some great clouds. After September, it's usually cloudless until mid-December. Then we have our winter storm season for a couple of months. Outside of those times, cloudless skies.

Outstanding photo with a super capture of light and shadows. Choice of black/white seems to only enhance the mood.
