Great shot. I've been practicing myself. Can you tell me how far from the hummingbird – flower you were. And were you handholding or using a tripod with a cable release? Thank you

I was handholding - not a problem at 1/2000. Distance probably about 6-7 feet. I have a comfortable chair with arms so it's kind of a natural tripod. The hummingbird comes to my bee balm patch about every 10-15 minutes and gives me about 3-5 seconds for getting the shot. Tripod would be too slow as I never know which flower he will go to.

I have my ISO set on automatic with an upper border of 1000. I believe it was at 800.
