A couple of weeks ago, someone recommended either a program or a site that allowed me to make the image below. Since I had to reformat this drive, I've lost track of a few things. So, what did I use to do this?

If I remember right, you did it at a website. Use "my posts" and you'll probably find it easily.

hey jerry...send me 35 of those bills so i can buy a new camera body.

Even better, just print if off the screen - as many copies as you want.

May I have some too? Please?

Naw, just want to tell you my "story" about paper money, Canadian in this case. Our grandson, then six years old, had been given some money to put into his newly opened bank account. I captured the look on his face when he opened the envelope, but not the money itself, so when it came to scrapbooking time, I put a 5- and a 10-dollar bill on the scanner, hit the "scan" button.... and got an error message! There is a security feature built into Canadian paper money that makes it impossible to scan it. My "workaround" was to take pictures with my camera, and they opened just fine in PSE to be used for scrapbooking. This security feature is also built into the new plastic bank notes.....

Very interesting. I'm surprised the U. S. hasn't done that.

It's not so much the scanner, but the printer. When image quality in printers reached a certain point that's where all the security was invested. We used to get visits from the local office of the FBI whenever a returned printer showed evidence that currency had been printed. It didn't take long before all high end printers had currency identification S/W. I am sure that became a requirement.

I'm interested in finding a program that allows one to create various fields within one of my own photos within which I can paste another image. For example, I created the attached photo for a note card. But I had to go through quite a bit of work using two programs to do it. I know there are programs with fields within various furnished pictures, but I want to do it with my own photos. I would appreciate information.

What software do you have now? Most image editing programs will allow you to create a selection, copy it, and paste it in another image. If layers and masks are available, you can create a second layer and then paint out the portions you don't want in the mask.

Gimp is one possibility - very powerful, free.

I would love to try that out! But I'm nuts according to my ex and will try anything. I got her on a lift for a blue diamond (by accident) instead of a "bunny" slope at Squaw Valley one time and she went nuts. Wasn't a bad slope but when I tried to help her down she sat in the snow and would swing the pole at me if I approached. Had to wait until a friend and his wife came down and caught up and they got her down the mountain. Then later I got talked into a double black diamond. I'll try anything....once!

The program I use lets me paste layers, selections, etc.. but does not create blank fields inside of which one can paste an image. I know there must be one out there that does.
