Tis true that everyone has their own choice of equipment. I can see just from these that I am in the minority as I am a fan of Olympus. Many years ago I had the OM-10. Never did learn to use the manual part of it but will be learning that with my new Olympus PEN E-Pl1 camera <ducks>, lol.

hey I like olympus. They were creative with there cameras the om series bids go through the roof when one comes up on e bay. At least olympus, nikon, cannon and pentax are optical and camera companies only. panasonic samsung and sony are giant souless corparate entities making everything from microwave ovens to blu ray players. Panosonic owns shipyards in Korea. And dont give me that sony bought minolta garbage buying a bankrupt camera company who was slow to bring out a decent dslr and could not compete against nikon and cannon no more makes you a camera company than owning frigidare made general motors a home appliance company. :thumbup: why yes i am opinionated. How did you guess?

I totally agree with your assessment of some of these so-called camera companies that are really souless corporations that basically stick their thumbs into too many pies. I wouldn't touch them with a 10-foot pole.
