great shots, she could eat your camera and you also
Hi Dave
Great shot. I'm leaving Yellowstone today. I didn't see any bears but got up close and friendly to bison and elk. Your advice was great and helped.i can in through the pass going into
Cooke City and entered the Silver gate
It was afternoon and not too much happening in Lamar. Thanks again for all your advice

I was several feet from my car and the two (youngster in other set) were on the other side of a depression and heading up and away. We keep a safe distance..too old and slow to run too far and can't fly! Thanks for looking!

We were sad to leave, but going back early Oct.
Did you come in over the Beartooth Hiway? We used the Chief Joseph Hiway in June and the weather was great!
Yes we came through the Beartooth as you suggested. Still a lot of snow. It was beautiful

Nice pictures. I was that close to a Bear in the Smokeys, a few years ago. She was after our food. BB
Dave,
Very nice capture! Hope you can show more.
We may see each other in October. We will reach Bozeman (BZN) airport at 12:56pm, then will rent a car driving to the Park.

We saw a coupe dozen different bear and I have a few I'll share, but none as close as these two! Thank you for commenting.

I had some excellent opportunities, but my exposures definitely need improvement. Shadows are one thing and blowing highlights are another!
We are spending a couple nights in the Tetons after flying into SLC and we'll be in Yellowstone Oct 6. Bozeman is too expensive for me to fly into and cars are typically more expensive as well. Pay attention to the road construction closures particularly between Mammoth and Norris. They can be readily found online. We are staying in Gardiner for a week and it readily serves our needs and conveniences.
October has given us immense enjoyment and is notably different from spring! Keep in touch! PM if so inclined!
Nice shot Dave...I didn't have a lot of luck getting a bear shot at Shenandoah
