Dave, what size monitor are you using it with. I have a 27" monitor and the first link Jerry posted left me thinking I would need a medium.

I too have a 27" monitor.

Actually the way I read the first article is with a 27' (what I have also) they are recommending the intuos pro Large... Which has a large price tag...I was hoping I could get by with the intuos photo small at $100.. Ugh

I personally would not go large. A friend of mine got on and found it required way too much arm motion.

I just looked at the chart again and it suggests medium or large with monitors 27-30". I agree that large would be too much.

if you also have a tablet you can turn it into a graphics tablet, astropad does it for ipad, and I'm sure theres bound to be one for andriod tablets too, this isn't helpful if you don't have one, but if you do will work out cheaper.

Astropad requires a Mac. If anyone knows of a similar app that works with Windows, please let us know.
Thanks

I have the medium. Tried a large, you definitely don't need that. I don't think I'd be happy with the small. I got pointed to this by an Elia Locardi tutorial; that guy will show you its capabilites.

I passed up the small Wacom Intuous for the medium version. Bought it refurbished on ebay. I do regret not getting the small one. It would have been plenty for my needs.

I have a 27" monitor, and the small Wacom tablet is just fine. I configure the tablet so that I use quite a bit less than the full tablet.

I have a brand new one (I tried to use for about 20 minutes to no avail. I have a tremor and am unable to use it.). If you are interested let me know.

I have the Intuos small and use it with two 24" monitors. I have it mapped to a small section (about a quarter of the surface). I can easily go from the far left to the far right with just a wrist movement.

I have the intros pro. It has opened avenues in Photoshop where you cannot go with a mouse. The learning curve is steep but worth it. The tablet opens up the world of selections and targeted adjustment. There are tons of you tube videos to help. I like those put out by phlearn. There is also one from a b and h conference on the top 10 techniques for targeted adjustment tbat is great. It takes a while to get comfortable using the tablet. We had a poor photographic winter here so i spent lots of time learning with the tablet. I hope this helps.

Agree.
small is plenty big enough for photography. I can't see why you would need anything bigger unless you're into creating graphic art stuff.

If not already mentioned, I use a Monoprice tablet about 10" x 7" on a windows 10 PC. The pen is great for precise control in doing selections and adjustments in PSE. Price is less than $70. Google it.
