+1 for photomatix. While lightroom can do this natively, i prefer what photomatix does.

I am in need of an HDR program. Presently with OloneoHDRengine, a wonderful program which I can no longer open and customer service is zero... Thanks for your help

Photoshop is by far the best for this!

I have used most of them and seem to gravitate back toward Aurora HDR. Easy to use and love the presets to start with.

Affinity Photo does photo merge for HDR plus tone mapping also does layers and and masking and many other functions all for $49.99 usd. you can also install and use Photoshop plugins and will also work in 16 bit color.

I use "Photomatix" software... I have for over 8 years now.

I have tried others, however - I really like (and understand) how it works.

And ... of course.....

I use Lightroom but I shoot in HDR ..three bursts,, which LR does not treat as far as I know.

Lightroom CC version most certainly does do HDR, of two or more images at a time. I does a pretty good job when there is little to no ghosting. It also produces the final image in RAW dng format.
If LR cannot handle it to satisfaction for some reason, PS-CC certainly can.

A consideration is which software will still be around and supported after one takes the time to learn it. Also a consideration (At least for me) is the integration w mobile versions of the software.

Yes, Lightroom will handle what you describe - although it does it slightly differently than other HDR programs. There are no thumbnails to allow you so select a preset effect. What LR does is to combine the shots into a single shot with higher over-all dynamic range, after which you can use the conventional LR edit functions to alter to your satisfaction.

Here's how it works: In Lightroom, select your photos, then from the pull-down menu, select Photo => Photo Merge => HDR.

Certainly LR 6 support both HDR and Pano. Very easy to use and I get great results.

Try Macphun Aurora HDR, originally strictly a Mac product but they just released a Windows version. Very impressed & easy to use, wide variety of filters & wont break the bank. Check it out they have a trial version & you can find specials.

Good luck

Are you saving your HDR images as raw or jpeg files in camera. Neither LR nor PS know you used HDR. Depending on your version of LR and PS and the vintage of your camera its raw files might not be readable by the software. Unfortunately for all of us, no national or international body of experts have devised a 'standard' file format for raw. So the camera manufacturers create unequal raw file formats. That is why Adobe created DNG as a raw compatible with all their software platforms.
