Yup. My bad. Just stuck in my mind and didn't keep up with later events. Surprised that VW doesn't own BMW looking at what they do own.
Volkswagen Group sells passenger cars under the Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, SEAT, Škoda and Volkswagen marques; motorcycles under the Ducati brand; and commercial vehicles under the marques MAN, Scania, and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. It is divided into two primary divisions, the Automotive Division and the Financial Services Division, and has approximately 340 subsidiary companies.[11] VW also has two major joint-ventures in China (FAW-Volkswagen and SAIC Volkswagen). The company has operations in approximately 150 countries and operates 100 production facilities across 27 countries.
Rolls-Royce Motors, owner of the former car division incorporated in 1973 and bought by Vickers in 1980. A subsidiary of Volkswagen Group from 1998 to 2002
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, incorporated in 1998, it is a subsidiary of BMW Group and manufactures Rolls-Royce motor cars.
