I have several digital photos that I've converted to black and white (digital). Is there a good photo service that can render these pictures into high quality black and white prints?

I convert to B/W using PS Elements then save to a flash card. One problem I have is that the local box store lab B/W prints are too low in contrast. To correct for that I'll save the file but "bracket" the contrast settings. I have found that saving with higher contrast settings looks better after the lab equipment finishes their adjustment. My second problem is that none of the local labs use anything but glossy paper. If you want matte surface you have to wait about three days. If I'm really picky I'll go to a pro lab about an hour away. There are a few of them left.
