Greg, Pismo Beach is the place to go for dune buggy and other beach activities! y buddy goes there a lot just to drive his range rover in the sand! I don't get it myself. 10 minutes of doing that and I've had it!

No Jane, that's not my idea of fun! I spent 10 minutes with my buddy driving on the beach and that's all I could take! Bored stiff!

Jenny, Pismo is translated from the Indian word pismu for tar. The Indians used the tar to seal their boats when they went fishing in the ocean.

Excellent, Snap! Looks like it was a very busy place, but the peace of the two last landscapes are my favorites. We lived in Santa Maria back in the mid-eighties, never spending any time at that beach except to drive on it once.
