Hope this is ok for the forum I'm posting in. I'm considering selling my like new Canon 6D, still has factory warranty and some left on the Canon total accident protection I got when purchasing it from B&H Photo early this year. I'm needing $2000 even so I'd throw in a perfect condition EF16-35 f/4L lens also bough new from B&H Photo a while after I got the 6D. Would also include a Canon camera bag and a memory card plus everything that came with the camera.
Is this a fair asking price? To high? To low? I could include a 75-300 USM kit lens, like new if I needed to but would like to keep it. If I'm ok on price where would you start listing it at? Here? CL? eBay scares me so not there. Thanks for any help at all.
6d body at b&h 1999.00 right now

You could put a "watch" on a bunch of 6Ds listed on Ebay and as the auctions end you can see what the market price looks like.
The longer and more you "watch" the better you will know what a fair asking price could be.
You will see all sorts of combinations for sale.
just a suggestion.
Canon 6d body, $1399 At Best Buy.

Then add that bad ass 16-35 and see what you get.

Personally I think that the body and the wide angle lens would be worth about $1600 together, you may consider selling separately because that way it may go quicker.

This is what people have been willing to pay on ebay.

The only problem with eBay is if you need the money right away. When I first started selling stuff on there I would have to wait sometimes 2 weeks for the money to be approved in PayPal. Don't forget, eBay takes 10% and PayPal another 3% so figure that into the price, and then there is shipping either you pay or the buyer pays. Unless you are shipping for free, be sure to weigh and measure the package correctly for them to figure an accurate shipping charge. All of that said, I wouldn't shy away from eBay if I wanted to sell something. Craigslist... IMHO that is a real PITA with all of the scam attempts. Good luck!

Even better, you can click the Sold Listings button and already see what the last year's worth of 6D's sold for.

What bothers me with eBay is 3 months from now someone can get tired of the camera and just say it’s not working right and you loose your money instantly or it may be longer than 3 months. They change every day lol. Only good thing about CL is if you get a buyer that pays it’s a done deal. Idk what I’m going to do, just gathering ideals lol

"Knock on wood", I have not had that happen to me yet but I understand. Where I live here in the Florida panhandle we have local "For Sale" groups on Facebook. They may have something like that where you live.

Good advice, but unnecessary, you can just check the closed listings and it will show you at what the price any product was selling for a long period of time (its bacically the same thing, but saves you the time of keeping an eye on that constantly)!
