I know I screwed up the rule of thirds with this picture but these moments happen so fast. I did crop a version to correct it but you lose some of the color in the clouds. Not good.

IMO, the rule of thirds isn't cast in cement. This shot is beautiful the way it is!!!

I like the framing of the moon by the clouds. You know what they say, "rules are made to be broken" sometimes.

Thank you so much everyone. I agree about the rule of thirds and that is why I presented the photo as is. When I cropped it, it took away the beauty of the color in the clouds. In this case the rule will remain broken.

Rules are made to be broken in art, don't beat yourself up over a "rule", if the image moves you then it doesn't matter, great shot, love the colors
