I tried again last night, this time imaging NGC7000. I got 14, 200 second subs Ha only and clouds took over. I was curious if I would get those wild artifacts so I processed just the 14 subs, no darks, bias, or flats, and other than noise and crap that flats would remove I don't see the checkerboarding that surfaced on my last image posted here. There was no processing or cropping, just stretched in PI and saved as a JPEG.
So, maybe the camera "healed thyself" or perhaps the key is "no supporting files"
I hope to get some clear skies tonight -to add another 6 Ha, 30 Sii, and 20 Oiii.

That is gorgeous, Ed.
Amazing detail! And no artifarts in sight.
I've been working on my work flow, and finding that for me, less is giving me more out of my images.
But I'm horrible at tweaking images anyway. I get my better results with the Automatic adjustments.
Here's hoping for clear skies for you!

I'll just keep it simple.
Gorgeous.
