my husband asked me to go with him on a
3 hour drive to tifton to pick up a part for his
tractor big tiller toy that he had to have
right now. I said okay...if...we take the
back roads and i can stop anywhere i want to
along the way to shoot. we saw some
interesting things along the way.

What a fun thing to do. I've often thought of doing what you did -- not drive to Tifton, Georgia, but hit the backroads and stop to take a picture whenever I saw something unusual or interesting. Tom Ca

You must have been in heaven with that oversized MOO-cow, Merry!

#1 is fantastic. Nicely balanced composition with the green on each side and a recognizable bird species in an unexpected place. The condition of the roof and chimney direct us to darker thoughts about the bird's purpose there. Love it!

Wow! These scenes certainly look familiar, Merry, and especially the 'old buzzard' on the roof! When I used to visit my grandmother in Lee County, AL, we took all the county roads from Mobile to their home, and the drive seemed to last forever. I'd see buzzards circling in the sky, and my dad would tell me to give him a nickel, and he wouldn't tell them where I was. lol Those were the good old days, and your pictures brought them back!

that i shot...all on a little country road. i don't know who was in the house, or if anyone was,
and no way was i going to go knock on the door...lol. thank you for commenting!

it is a lot of fun and we've done it many times. you never know what you're going to see going
through and between all the little towns and country places. i hope you can try it sometime.

we enjoyed the day listening to the xm radio on the oldies and goodies station,
and willie's roadhouse, and some others, and did a little singing too. i was so happy
to see that cow that i hopped out of the truck, and stood in the rain and wind and
shot to my heart's cowntent...lol. i'm glad you enjoyed this weird set angela...thank you
very much for your fun comment. he kept his word the whole way.
