Love the challenge of shooting common subjects with an uncommon take on them.

Love the first image. May I ask how it was done. Love the soft focus of the rose. The highlights on the petals make it glow, creates a warm feeling. And lastly, but of equal importance. The color slightly toned down creates a calming effect. Nicely done. May I display a couple images of mine. I offended someone once by not asking, and better yet, that I didn't even consider the tread intention. For that I am sorry to all Hedgehog viewers.

Wow Jean, those are lovely images. I have a couple that may be in a little different syle, but that's what gives us vareity in the beauty that we record.

Picman, Jean, and FotoSteve those are all really cool shots. I love shooting flowers, but sometimes I feel like they can be a little boring. I mean, flowers alone are beautiful so as photographers isn't it our job to somehow add something to the inherent beauty that's already there? I think you've all done a fantastic job of doing just that.
I'm having a hard time picking a favorite but if I can go with 3 my picks are picman12's second shot, Jeanhdl's first shot, fotosteve's first.

Nikonian72: These butterfly/flower pics are beautiful. The third one would look great as a screen print on a t-shirt! Very nice.
