Several UHH-ers have recently posted questions re. Affinity Photo. While I loved the product when it first came out, I have cautioned prospective buyers to beware. I am on their most recent release for iMac, I have recently encountered new functional failures every time I try to use it. Example: tools don't do what they are supposed to do, or disappear entirely from the toolbox; following the instructions of the most simple introductory tutorials simply doesn't work. My sense is that Affinity is imploding while they brazenly introduce a new product for iPad.

Contacting Affinity is impossible.

Am I the only one experiencing this meltdown?

I don't have an iPad so I don't know what's going on. Has anyone else had problem or is it just one person? So far my PC version is near flawless.

Nice of Apple to go to another non-US company for software!

I have been using Affinity Photo (Windows version) for the past 7 months without any issues to report, you might be able to resolve your issues by uninstalling and reinstalling the software.

What?? Phaltz Nuze from a true Adobe stock holder. If Affinity worked the first time and stumbles with the newer version.. it appears that the load was a problem.... as was suggested... remove and reload.

The comment regarding the ipad version is extraneous information to put the blame on Affinity Group. That comment is as useful as CrookedH comments by the steamed leader who will never get the Nobel Prize.

You did not mention any details about your computer that you were running window vista and have 4mb of DDR2 memory!!! OOPS, you have a Mac!!! is it a modern one?? I have had no problems, but Jan 15 I updated and did a home build Windows Computer with gaming parts, so mine is fast.. and just upgraded again the video card. I have no problems with Affinity.

So, remove and reload.

No problem on my part either and I have it loaded on a 5K Retna iMac 27" screen I7 32gb memory 3TB HD. I still prefer Photoshop CC as I don't like the Persona structure of Affinity, however everything works as advertised.

You need to get a free download of OnyX and clean up your Mac. I use Cocktail before and after loading software and have never had problems with Affinity Photo or Designer. I mainly use Photoshop but Affinity Photo is great software. Good Luck.

No issues with Affinity on my iMac except that it is a memory hog compared to PS.

I can't speak for the Mac version but on my Windows PC Affinity has been outstanding beginning with the free, pre-release beta version last year through the latest update I installed last month.
