Beautiful set, Merry... slugs, bugs and all!! I for one am a member of the nature lover club, I remember as a child when my mother would buy snails (yes, to cook!!) I would always keep one or two as pets, I just love those little antennas, even on the sluggish slug!!
The little green hopper is a beauty, love his color and shine and the elephant ear looks great against the black!!
Beautiful set, Merry... slugs, bugs and all!! I ... (show quote)

thank you very much angela! my mother cooked quail...not snail, and she would have croaked if I
asked for a pet snail...I felt lucky to have a dog and cat and parakeet...lol. slugs have eaten up all
my vincas so it's ughs for the slugs...glad you like the little green cutie and the elephant ear. we have
so many of those big ears, and they are thirsty all the time! thanks for the thumbups!

Nice shots, Merry. People eat slugs in some countries--they reckon they slide down just like a fresh oyster (I think I'll stick to oysters, though).

thank you earl. yuk...lol....I reckon i'll stay away from slug snacks, and I don't ever recall
swallowing an oyster, but I do love other seafoods.

Great shots, Merry, of beautiful little things! Even slugs need love! Your buggies are really cute especially the guy on the pineapple sage, and I'm loving your shot of the aster bud. It's very unique!
Jane

thank you jane! maybe little sluggie felt the love when I took his picture...lol. glad you like the pineapple sage cutie and the bud.
I appreciate your comment very much!

MT, excellent series. Your bugs are all great and I really enjoyed the Elephant Ear.

Greg

thank you for your comment Gregg. i'm glad you like them. there are plenty of bugs...the birds eat lots of them, and
there is an abundance of elephant ears here, and they are wanting rain.

Right you are, and I was out photographing slugs yesterday, since it has been raining since June 1 and they are everywhere!

it's nice to know there are other slug shooters on the forum nim...lol. I planted some vincas a couple of weeks ago
and the slugs have already done them in...grrrr!

Yep! Nicely done! Although so many people like my wife will automatically disagree when I say: "Isn't this snake beautiful"? (She might not like your slug, either. What a sourpuss!)

lol! different strokes for different folks! I love snakes, and feel a little less love for the slugs.
so maybe i'm part sourpuss...lol. thanks for your comment...i got a chuckle from it.

Everything but the slug. Poor thing is lumbered with a name that doesn't sound good however it's used.
NB! I'd have a dram of whisky rather than a 'slug'.

thank you john...it's just not a nice name at all...someone should rename them. how about...
well i can't think of anything except slimey, and that doesn't sound nice either.

I thought at first glance these images might bug me, but they don't. They're actually not pests at all, they're quite appealing!

i am so relieved my bugs didn't bug you tp...they're not bad at all once you get to know them. lol.
thank you for your comment!

Very nice. The elephant ear by itself with the black background is excellent and the bug on the spirea. Makes me want to get my macro lens out.

thank you for your comment rowedean. that little bug on the pink spirea stuck out like a sore thumb...there's no way i could have missed seeing it. lol
well, get your macro lens out and let's see some of your bug friends.
