I am looking to expand my printing size beyond 8-1/2" x 11" which will provide clarity, yet not put me in the poor house...Richard

Whatever you buy, take into consideration the price of ink refills and whether you can use generic inks/cartridges.
That is more likely to put you in the poorhouse than the cost of the printer.

Fantastic rebates on Canon Pro 100 ongoing... 250.00 rebate brings total down to little over 100.00.... 50 sheets of free paper to boot. Mine just arrived yesterday, what a deal.

I have Canon Pro 100 and the Epson R3000. Both print better than several print shops including, Sams, Walmart, CVS, Office Depot etc.. As one person mentioned the ink is expensive. They cost are over $100.00 for the set. You will get quality prints for what you pay as long as you consider paper quality and ink.

Look at CartridgeAmerica the ink for Canon Pro 100 (all 8 cartridges) is $39.99 + $3.95 shipping https://cartridgeamerica.com/itm/canon-cli-42-8pack-ink.php. I have been using these inks since my original cartridges ran out and have not had a problem

As others have mentioned Take a look at the Canon Pixma Pro 100. Sells at $379.99 with a $250.00 rebate and $49.99 worth of paper free. Actual cost to you $80.00. Ya just can't beat it and on top of all that it's a great 8 cartridge printer that does both exceptional color and B+W prints. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/893738-REG/Canon_6228b002_Pixma_Pro_100_Photo_Inkjet.html You will also have the option down the road, if necessary, to refill you own carts and save a bundle that way as well. A good source for that is Precision Color at: http://www.precisioncolors.com/index.html. Another place to check out is Jose Rodriguez on You Tube, he has a lot of information on the Pro 100 and other printer's you might be interested in as well.

I second, third and fourth that. I use Precision Colors in my Pro-100. The size I ordered it is about $25 to refill all 8 cartridges. The size bottle I ordered hold aprx 7 refills each color. My favorite paper is Canon Pro-Luster 101 and Precision Colors has a custom profile for it that gives great results. My local camera store had the paper in 13x19 on sale two for one so I stocked up. I have a cutter to make smaller sizes if I want them. But I also have a good supply of 4x6, 8x10 and 8.5x11 in different finishes.

I second everything WayneT said. I have a Pro-100 & Pro-10. Use Precision color inks and the advise of Jose Rodriguez. To avoid the initial $350 outlay many Pro-100's New in box 📦 available on Craigslist for around $100. Ask seller for copy of receipt so you can register warranty.

I have the Cannon Pro 100 also. Love it. But what is there something reasonable that prints larger? One thing about the 13 x 19 is the frames are hard to find. I've made some of my own to have more variety.

I print 13 x 19 routinely and I purchase 18 x 24 mats that are precut to 12.5 x 18.5, and there are numerous frames from retailers in the 18 x 24 size. Michaels have them in stock as do many online stores.

That's a very helpful link to Jose Rodriguez. He persuaded me not to replace my clogged Epson 4880 printer because I don't print often enough.

You can go to Michales and they have premade frames with glass for about $35.
