This is across the street from my apartment, I am told it was done with spray paint. I call it toasted Einstien, The front bottom floor is a smoke shop whose clients seem to be quite toasted as well.

Very attractive and fun murals, Rena. I love the one at Joshua Tree. Your perspective makes it look like the foreground and the mural are all one landscape! Here are some of mine shot in Deland, Fl.

Ms. Wilson, your idea of having your husband pose as a live photographer posing a huge crowd of painted models is very cute. Nice job. The mural with a painted photographer in a painted window, next to another window with two women leaning out, is hilarious! I can only wonder why the artist decided to create it. Is it part of a store that is trying to attract attention?

Richard, thank you for the very nice comments. My husband was a good sport and somehow it just looked right to me! Here is a link to my original post showing the building with all the painted windows. http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-420557-1.html

Deland is a very neat little town and it was just awarded the title "America's Main Street" in a national competition.

Thanks for this post. I love that so many cities are allowing for this kind of public art. In the '90s, St Pete allowed murals and then did not and then did and then not. Now murals are part of the city's identity. Great!
