Alien ones?
No - just choose the RA and DEC for the lunar latrine......there should be a few laying around there. Truth be told, when Neil Armstrong said, "One Small Step for Man, One Large Leap For Mankind" ...he was just boogying over to take a whiz!....hence the big steps :)

So I presume Iris will be at the office or otherwise away when the guy comes struggling the big box to the porch?
Brown I suppose?
I finally spotted the Losmandy rail on it.
USPS will Priority Mail up to 70 pounds.
Our mailman ask the wife one time what I was ordering? Books? After struggling another 50 pound box to the porch.
She said, "Nooo. Lead."
Poor guy...
I was buying ingots of a special alloy to cast rifle bullets with. Delivered by Priority Mail.
Coming fedex says between 10:30 and 3:35, very precise...iris works til 3:30 and it's about a 7 minute commute. I've already made a mess in the garage, so I plan to hide it in the mess.
She will see it eventually, last year I bought the portable observatory, kinda hard to hide that one.

I have always run under the premise that "it's easier to get forgiveness than permission" philosophy.

I have a suggestion - on those days where you are watching the clock - wife coming home at ?????, package due to arrive at 5 minutes before ?????. You need to call her favorite SPA and schedule her full body massage - have some roses waiting for her there with a note that says, "These are way overdue". That should keep her busy for a good while ...giving you a chance to play around the new stuff as well as find a new hiding place and plenty of time to concoct a story, for example, of how you swapped an old lawn mower from a friend who got this scope as a gift.........not to mention your bride should be in a very very very good mood when she gets home - have a glass of wine and dinner waiting for her - if you have small kids - have them bathed, fed, and ready for nighty-nite. When she ask why - just say, because you are soooo special and I show my love so seldom!
With that line of bull, I think you will score TWICE instead of striking out with the bases load (with astro gear) which will probably be the case should she show up while you are looking through the eyepiece! Just saying!
One last thingie, if you look in the trunk of her car.....you will probably find a pair of 200 dollar shoes that she is waiting for the right time to bring in the house!

It's the 10", I have been looking at these for a while, the RASA is great wide field, so I wanted something to go after the smaller targets. I was trying to talk myself into going with the 12" (always 2nd guess decisions after the fact), but then they had this one as a demo from the Texas star party, so I took it as a sign that I should get that one.
I am hoping to get to be a collimating expert, my RASA is in need of it too. If we can can the darn clouds to go away, I'll get around to trying it.

I'm glad you were able to score the demo.
You know, it might be great right out of the box, better than a factory new. Because it's been demonstrated and had to be perfect for that.
Love the CF struts on it.
Is your truck big enough to haul everything to Borrego Springs, or does that need an upgrade too. I think
you need a Class A with a nice slide out tray in the big basement storage compartment. Our Daughter/Son In Law had their "forever boat" custom built by Advantage Boats. 28' beauty. Gale designed the graphics on it himself. It's beautiful!
Advantage called him and said it was done but they had a favor to ask. Could they take it to the L.A. Boat show? And they would put it on a custom trailer, all waterproofed LED lighting, for the use of showing it.
He told them sure, go ahead. That was 10 years ago, and it still looks brand new, stored in indoor storage. Still a show stopper.
Haha, yes, I've been hinting about a truck for a year....I'm renting one for borrego tho.
This thing is really small in comparison to the RASA, light too.
I have the whole problem solved - - - -
I'm single ! ! ! ! ! !
