Here are three street shots that I took in the same spot in front of City Hall in Worcester MA. I don't do it often (I'd rather be in the woods), but there are times when I really love taking my camera to capture random moments like these.
I'd love to get some feedback on them.
A slash of flash on the LOVE shot to separate the subjects from the background (off camera flash) & if flash is not possible, use the bracket system to bring more detail in the faces of the subjects (too dark).
WAITING is just too dark (under expose) for more detail.
SAD IS OKAY BUT COME IN CLOSER TO ELIMINATE THE DISTRACTION OF THE BACKGROUND, maybe a different angle

I would blur the background just a little on the last one. Not too much...it would take the foreground out of context. Nice clear shot and B&W is the perfect choice for this one. It breaks my heart to see this gentleman in such dire straights but it is a great street shot.
