It amazes me the power of a photgraph to transcend the image itself. I sit here in a workd so far removed from this sacredIplace and yet i can feel the incredible and unique energy of this space which you have captured. Sat nam (:

Are you allowed to stay there overnight and wait for the mists ans sunrise or do they clear everybody out! One of the best photographs of one of my dream vacations.
Thanks for your determination.

No, you cannot stay overnight they close at 4:00 and way before sunset. In order to get there before the crowds at 5:30 you must hike in the dark up a long winding road straight uphill and at least 5 miles long.. The gates open to the public at 6:00. I understand that if you stay at the hotel outside MP you have more time at the park but it is pricey at $1000.00 and up a night. I chose to hike...Thank you for the compliment...it really is amazing up there..
Thank you, it is a very spiritual place..
Not difficult but very time consuming. From my door to Machu Picchu with trains planes and automobiles, we made it to the park on day5 without a detour.
