A few of my favorites from last weeks trip to Scotland.....
Nice photos--I'd love to go there someday.
Interesting traffic scene there. Did you go to Inverness or Edinburgh? If so, suggestions for what to see in one day?
I am leaving for Scotland Tuesday. I don't know where these pics are taken but I hope some of them are on our tour schedule. We will be in a group and won't be able to do much as individuals. Then we go to Northern Ireland for a few days. Looking forward to getting some good shots of picturesque places.
We flew into Glasgow and drove to Fort William. We drove to the Isle of Skye, Inverness, the Highlands region, Stonehaven, and two days in Edinburgh.
We didn't find much in Inverness, but Edinburgh has a lot do.
In Edinburgh: The Royal Mile has great shops and pubs, the Edinburgh Castle, the Scotland War Museum is at the castle, walking distance is the Scottish National Galley and Calton Hill. It would be a full day of walking, but you should get it all done, if you don't do too much shopping. Hope that helps!!
THANK YOU! Great information and I am quite excited. We are going to the Military Tatoo one day, doing the Royal Mile the second, plus a tour out into the countryside the morning of the Tatoo. Should be a wonderful experience. Hope I can capture what you have here.
Very enjoyable set Road King. hope to get there some day myself.

What a lovely series Road King
So I have to ask: Who won the battle of the cars? Neat pics. I do so want to go there some day. But I think a lot of the tours wouldn't take me where I want to go, and I'm very hesitant about driving myself (wrong side of the road, OOPS!)
there are small "passing Places", along the road marked by a sign or post. they are placed at points on the road where drivers can see the oncoming traffic. the side of the road that the sign is on determines who pulls over. at one point we had five cars and two motor homes at one of these spots (it took nearly 10 minutes the negotiate the passes). Driving on the "wrong side" was not as hard as I imagined, but you have to pay attention at the round-a-bouts. Also watch to your right when entering or crossing an intersection.
