Kite Fair

This was held at Spring Point, South Portland, ME. Photos #3 and #5 are shots of the huge octopus kite which was the centerpiece of the fair.
As I was taking my photos of the kites, an American airliner went by on its approach to the airport, so I made a faux travel poster out of it for fun.

Nice series. I can see why the octopus kite was the center piece of the fair.

What amazing works of art these kites are. How fun for you to be there and for us to view them. I can only imagine driving down the interstate and encountering a high flying octopus

Thank you very much, Linda; as one can see from the octopus photos, there were a lot of people there. I had to park a good quarter of a mile away and walk there.

Tomorrow we're getting another full day of rain.... poor birds...
