Close. Insufficient exposure of a stop or two, can create noise.

Also, all shots seem a little murky SOOC missing clarity. Too much light perhaps or too little. Suggestions very welcome.
The "murky" could be from light leaking thru loose connection on your tubes. Both of my auto tube sets have a little flex at the joints. Just a thought. It's easy to check, wrap electrical tape around joints on tubes. If the "murky" goes away, problem fixed. But, this may not be the problem. Good luck! Keep us posted.

Great photos Brenda. I haven't even seen a moth for a few months now.

Thanks naturepics43, I hadn't thought of that, I shall certainly act on your suggestion for around the joints, yes there is a little flex movement.

Thanks Dennis, I haven't seen many either except for a few tiny ones but I have seen a few butterflies which appear to be sunning themselves on dry mud footpaths during one day and then gone the next. Such a short lifetime they have, I believe your Monarchs are among the longest living of butterflies.

You are probably correct about the Monarchs. I used to have tons of them because they came to some milk weed bushes I planted after seeing other butterfly aficionados (I love that name, butterfly aficionados) but since the plants became infested with aphids and no amount of lady beetles bought by the 1500 count bagful would get rid of them I just pulled the plants out. No more aphids but no more Monarchs either. For the most part I did the Monarchs to have something to photograph and also because my granddaughter loved seeing them fly around. She moved 3000 miles away so that isn't a concern any longer.

Shame about your plants, I remember the photos you posted last year of the Monarchs and their chrysalis production and the antics of you and your Granddaughter in moving them to safety

We miss her a lot. Hopefully she will spend part of the summer with us.
