Have you uninstalled Nix, downloaded and reninstalled a fresh copy? That may be the fix.

Tried several times to re-install the Nik Collection. Every try failed. Gave up months ago. Maybe should try again now.

Jerry, I think it may install after 2nd attempt. Wait and see if it updates tomorrow. May have to do with slow internet connection for the download - not sure - just a conjecture. If you don't want to wait - this looks like a "fix". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xy0PRwJIalw
Good luck,

Thanks. The computer generated voice was funny.

I followed all the steps except "Delete temporary files," since there were none. I went to Update and clicked on Start. Nothing seems to have happened. I'll wait till Windows wants to update again.

Yes, mine was funny too. Hopefully, upon waking tomorrow, "The sun will shine brightly thru the updated Windows".(Hmmm, not bad for a mathematics dude.

Try this.
1. Click on Start
2. Click on Settings (Gear icon)
3. Bottom right - click on Update & security
4. click on "Check for Updates" If all updates are installed, that will be indicated. If not, go to step 5.
5. Give necessary permissions and let it do it's thing.

Mark, I did the update per your instructions without any problems that I can see. I also did the update on my Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud subscription and had no problems and my Nik Plugins are still working. Life is good. Thanks so much for your help. I'm always hesitant to do any updates if I am not having any problems.

I understand your reluctance to update for fear of upsetting the "apple cart". However, updates are not evil - they are sent by manufacturers to help resolve issues that have been identified as problems. So, always update - particularly Windows and Adobe. Glad it helped. Feel free to contact me. Happiness is having a PC working flawlessly.

It's working fine, so I'll wait for it to try again.

I've been running Creator's update for a month or so. It works well. Regarding NIK and Topaz, when I went from Win 7 to 10, I didn't need to reinstall anything.

I updated 10 computers in my office and not an issue with the update. Some were no frills computer others have a high end cpu running raid 0 on 2 Samsung 1TB SSD's and 64 gb of memory, 2 1080gtx in sli mode and the update ran without a hitch. Go for it.

Thanks. That's good to know. Been contemplating doing the manual update. My Windows path to 10 is the same as yours.

Has anybody done this update to Windows 10, and if you have, were there any problems. I am a little hesitant to update because things seem to be running okay on my Desktop PC at the moment.

I will get auto-update once a while with out any problem. I don't mine losing lots of space in the hard-drive after each up-date, if it's necessary to improve my system.

I would definitely keep up-to-date with security patches, especially in the current environment. Now with a major update such as Creator, I'd prefer for it to be in general use for awhile (maybe 2-3 months) before jumping on the train. Many/most of my enterprise customers would wait a few months before updating to a new release until it had been well "field-tested". It's also handy to install on a test system first before upgrading everything with a new major upgrade, but few individual users have that luxury.
