Don't you just love it! I could not be happier with mine, particularly for closeup shots of flowers. I'm just not into the 1:1 macro stuff yet and maybe never will be. I used it as a walk-around lens as well a couple of months ago in Charleston, SC and got some super, very different shots.

Definitely the 105 is one of my favorites for sure. I have not used it as a walk-around lens yet, to be honest, I'm a little lazy, don't want to use my legs for zooming in or out. I really like my 24-70 for that, a little heavier, but like the zoom feature.

I too use the 24-70 as a walk-around. As it turned out in Charleston, I used the 24-70 on day one and decided to go with the 105 on day two, just to see what would happen. Got great shots with both.
