Just spent 10 minutes with the Nat Geo book and Cornell Univ "All About Birds".
Looks like a Ruddy Turnstone - they summer in northern Canada and Alaska and winter along the coasts from Mexico to So America and the Caribbean in the East and California to So America in the West. Doesn't show their migration pattern but would assume it is along the coasts. Does say some juveniles are likely to hang around the coasts of No America all year long.
Thank you - all my bird books are boxed up right now. We are awaiting new furniture. It had better arrive soon as I cannot find anything right now.
