Well, that's what they looked like to me. Actually a grouping of columbines at a nursery in Northern Michigan.
A lovely, soft image Bob. The softness accentuates the fragility of the blooms.
"This is just cool" , that was the first thing that popped in my mind when I opened it.
Somehow I feel it's perfect. The flower shapes are just cool , the dept of field works grate here and combined with this b&w effect is perfect.
I love it

What a come-down finding these are columbines not aliens floating around. Nevertheless the shot and your post work are great!!!!!
Beautifully done, Bob. Kudos on this one!
Beautiful treatment. Going black and white with flowers is something that would never have occurred to me. Now I have to go into my files and see what I can come up with.
Interesting - columbines in a nursery. Never thought about doing flowers in B&W - this is stunning. A must see in download to see the detail. I knew from the title, it's Bob!!
This makes for a perfect B&W, and it's perfectly done. Just enough details in the highlights. The flower in the upper right is nicely focused and the lower right seems fine. The lower left seems to be a tad soft. You're so deliberate, I'm sure you had a reason. My thinking would have been since it's the closer one to have focused on it. I'd like to know why you chose the other flower.
Nice black and white, Bob.
