I live between Buffalo and Rochester New York on the Erie Canal. I have been taking pictures for a few years. I take my camera to work and most of the time I take pictures every day, I delete more than I save. I am supervisor at a stone quarry and love to take pictures of the blasting of rock in the quarry and the wild life I come across. I have been reading most posts and have learned a lot.

Welcome! This is really a GREAT forum.
Welcome to UHH. My short experience here has reveled that there are some really good amateurs and some really good professionals that masquerade as amateurs. Me? I rank somewhere between terrible and mediocre, but I enjoy the site.
Welcome! Looking forward to your posts and pictures. Happy shooting!

Great shot! I saw yesterday that they are blasting on the Thruway, north of Kingston. They're eliminating the rocky mountains in the median.

Darn, I liked them
Yeah. I can understand them eliminating the rocks on the side of the road - the ones that fall onto cars. I don't see the point in removing the median rock.
