Right on! I drive a 911 Carerra 4S with a 6-speed manual and an IC engine of course.
I am readily resistant to battery driven cars and cars that drive themselves; if I'm behind the wheel, I'll do the driving, thanks.

I don't want driver aids either, except anti-lock brakes. I rarely use my cruise control. We did a 4,000 mile road trip in 11 days and I probably used the cruise control less then 25 miles of it. There is something about a perfectly rev-matched double clutched downshift (especially if done heel and toe) while turning in to a corner, clipping the apex and then accelerating out of it. I drive a Mazda 3 Grand Touring with a 5 speed manual with Bridgestone S-04s and Konis. A few years ago I went for a drive on one of the great roads, CA 128 from Winters, through the Napa Valley and then all the way to CA 1. My son in law went along in his 911 Carerra and our "quick comfort speed" was the same; he was surprised at how well the Mazda handled. Of course I was pushing a little harder than he was, but we were both having fun.
